I wouldn’t normally make a rumour post, but this is from Forbes.com, so I feel like it has a bit more weight behind it. People have been speculating that the NSX GT3 and GT3 Evo were racing for more than just trophies (well it was pretty well known it was for developent) , and it appears a lot of what was learned on the track could be coming to the production NSX-R.

The Article discusses an increase in power, suspension setup, and aero bits, but doesn’t have any concrete details on exact numbers, or how they get there (is the hybrid setup gone, or did they just turn the knob to 11?). Either way, looks like it’s going to be a Auto Show to pay attention to.

True. I just don’t know if there is even a market for the few they do make.

That being said, it isn’t something I’ve looked into.  No NSX cross-shopping with Kia Fortes

If I had a scoop to give, I would (unless i’m forbidden by some sort of NDA ;)) Although it’s been spied numerous times, I’m not sure if the car debuting at pebble beach is that car, or an RLX replacement. Heck, it might be a whole new model , but that goes against what has been said about expanding the model line up.

Either way, the summer is looking really interesting.

What do you cross shop the Kia Forte with? You stroll by the trash can isle at home depot?

Oh they’ll sell. The 2019 is selling a lot better than the previous year so far.

I cross shopped it with a used, manual Fiesta sedan with a stain on the ceiling which made me strongly suspect the previous owner died of suicide.

I’d have been happier riding downhill to work in a trashcan strapped to a shopping cart.

A Focus can’t be that bad to drive? Can it?

It's a Kia Forte, not a Nissan Versa.

Insinuating that the Kia is in the same class as the Versa.

That’s funny, I published a blog post about it this morning and Forbes was one of my sources.

I don’t know how well a new NSX-R is going to do when Honda/Acura is slashing prices just to move regular NSX’s though.

I’m willing to bet they’ll have an order limit for the type r, and being a type r, it’ll be way more desirable.

Of course millions of internet commenters will deem it a failed car because no manual and hybrid, so who knows.

LOL right?

Some people might even argue that they should have built it like a type-R, to begin with. That completely misses the point of the car though.

To quote some Acura exec. “The NSX was always silver before it was red.”

They needed this and it'll help move the base model by a fair bit.

Oddly, I’m more interested in this than the Barvarian Supra Werks.
